The fourth and final event of this year’s quarterly Lync Users Group meetings has been scheduled and announced for October.

Presentations will be provided on the following two topics:

Reverse Proxy and Load Balancing

  • The first session will be presented by Bryan Boretsky of KEMP Technologies and will include discussion of reverse proxy topics and load balancing topics, covering both DNS Load Balancing and Hardware Load Balancing.

Edge Server Deep Dive

  • The second session as presented by me will attempt to add some clarity to one of the most complex roles in Lync by taking a deep dive into the world of the Lync Edge Server.

Industry Experts will be on site to deliver these presentations and help answer any questions related to Lync Server.

Every attendee of an October event will receive a Kemp VLM-200 license courtesy of Kemp Technologies.

As usual food, beverages and additional door prizes will be provided courtesy of the Lync Users Group. The food will be ready at 5:30 so come early if you can to spend time socializing with the group before the presentations begin at 6:00.

The group is growing by one or two regions per quarter so it is becoming a bit too much work to track all of the different dates and locations here and keep them updated.  To see the official meeting schedule go to the Lync Users Group and review the list of announced events displayed on the right-hand side of the main page.  As the events become official they will be updated with the local date and time, but you can follow each link to the dedicated Meetup page which will have the most accurate details for the event.

Date Location Address
October 24th
6:00 PM
Chicago UC Users Group Microsoft Technology Center
200 East Randolph Drive, Suite 200

As usual I will be hosting the Chicago area event, hope to see you there.  Please remember to remove your RSVP within 48 hours of the event if you know that you cannot attend so that we do not purchase too much food.
