The next round of quarterly Lync Users Group meetings has been scheduled and announced for this month.  The Lync User Group family has now grown to 15 different locations across the country with the addition of two new regional groups this quarter in Charlotte (N.C.) and in Los Angeles.

Recent News

Some additional changes have occurred since last quarter in the form of new roles being filled on the Board of Directors for the non-profit UC User Group which manages all of the Lync UG events.  I’ve assumed the role of Director of Content for the group and will be chiefly responsible for selection and creation of the presentation material for each event. Joining me on the board are Britt Baubie of Unify Square who has filled the role of Director of Communications and Chad McGreanor of ExtraTeam who has taken up Director of Onboarding duties.  As we continue to add one or two new groups every quarter to the LUG family this newly expanded set of roles has helped us deal with the scale and demand we are seeing in the community.

Event Details

Presentations will be provided on the following two topics:

Lync Conference 2014 “Top Ten”

• The first session will recap the recent Lync Conference in Las Vegas and cover some of the most important and interesting announcements and details from the event.

Advanced Troubleshooting Tools for Lync

• The second session will cover a host of different troubleshooting tools available for Lync Server from Microsoft, third-parties, and the Lync user community. 

Industry Experts will be on-site to deliver these presentations and help answer any questions related to Lync.  Food, beverages and additional door prizes will be provided courtesy of the Lync Users Group.

Chicago Event

As usual I will be hosting the Chicago event downtown.  (Please be aware that this event has been temporarily moved to a Wednesday due to limited availability of the MTC on our normal Thursday night spot.)
