The next round of quarterly Lync Users Group meetings has begun to be scheduled and announced for next month.

For a full schedule of regional events the Lync Users Group Locations page lists all planned event locations with links to the associated Meetup.com page for each regional group.  For current members If your region’s event is not yet scheduled you just make sure that your notification options are configured so that you’ll get an alert when the new event is posted.  For anyone who is not yet a member and would like to participate simply create a new Meetup account (or use an existing one) and join your local group.

Event Details

This meeting’s theme is “An evening with Enterprise Voice” and will be conducted in our familiar two-session format:

The first session presented by Sonus will cover audio gateways and how they are integrated into Lync voice deployments.

The second session presented by Lync MVP Elan Shudnow will cover Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) topics as applicable to Lync Server 2013.

Industry Experts will be on-site to deliver these presentations and help answer any questions related to Lync.  Food, beverages and additional door prizes will be provided courtesy of the Lync Users Group.

Chicago Event

As usual I will be hosting the Chicago event downtown.  Food will be ready at 5:30 so come early if you can to spend time socializing with the group before the presentations begin at 6:00

  1. Hi Jeff,
I am very sad these meetings are never recorded (even if its not HD and not crystal clear audio, still better than nothing), so outside of the room where held nobody benefits from your great presentations 🙁

    1. We are still talking about recording them but it would only be made available for local members who are unable to attend meetings. This is not a virtual UG but intended as a community-based UG to foster in-person connections in each region.

      1. Thanks Jeff, I understand the idea of being exclusive events for only an insider group of people, but if you guys change your mind and decide to share the recordings with the broader community after 6/12 months, that would still be awesome.

        1. Just to be clear, these are not 'exclusive, insider' events, they are open to anyone who wishes to attend.

          1. I know what you mean, I referred to being exclusive as you have to live near Chicago and/or able to travel on-site to attend. So for me living on the other side of the planet it still feels exclusive 🙂
